CALL FOR LEGOS
LEGO donations needed...

The Narrows Center will host an extraordinary art exhibition in the Narrow Gallery Oct 9 through Nov 19, 2011. Nathan Sawaya's: The Art of the Brick is a nationally touring exhibition featuring LEGO sculptures and artwork.

In conjunction with this amazing display, the Narrows is excited to present the Children's Museum of Greater Fall River who will lead LEGO inspired activities in the Narrows Cafe Gallery wall and area space during the six week run of The Art of the Brick. In Denmark, 'Lego' means 'play well'. And at the Children's Museum of Greater Fall River that's what happens - because playing well is learning well. LEGO Building Hour, Home Spun Fun, Get Into Building, and Team Building are some of the workshops the Children's Museum of Greater Fall River will be offering. Planning is underway, the creative wheels are in motion and all we need is a boatload of LEGOS to bring it all to life.

Your LEGOS donation will be temporarily used at the Narrows Center later this year but your gift will long live on as all those tiny colored pieces of plastic will become the property of the Children's Museum for kids of all ages to enjoy year after year.

So, clean out your closets, toy rooms, basements and attics and pass those loved LEGOS on to a new generation of creative minds.

Drop off your LEGOs Wednesday through Saturday 12 noon to 5 p.m. or when you go to a concert at the Narrows Center for the Arts. In addition, we'll have a LEGO drop off during the Narrows Festival of the Arts on Sunday, Sept 11, 2011 at the children's festival area.
